What can we expect from entries in the Challenger Class?
The smaller solar collector area and greater design envelope will allow a greater variety of designs. We expect Challenger solar cars to be smaller and sleeker, but with improved driver vision. A great deal of lateral thinking will be required to meet conflicting needs of maximising the solar collection area, minimising aerodynamic drag, meeting the new requirements for driver vision and meeting the other design requirements needed to qualify as Challenger class, and contest the World Solar Cup.
