Adelaide GreenZone Drive
What is the Adelaide GreenZone Drive and how does it work?
The Adelaide GreenZone Drive was hosted by the South Australian Motor Sport Board – Home of the Veolia World Solar Challenge.
The Adelaide GreenZone Drive was a chance to see first-hand just how easy it is to switch to a low emission vehicle (LEV) for your next new car through the GreenZone Drive.
The event kicked off on Thursday 20 October and ran until Sunday 23 October. Tthe Adelaide GreenZone Drive route departed from Wakefield Street in the center of Victoria Square, and followed a predetermined route around the city. The drive lasted only a few minutes, but was long enough to show off the real-world everyday
performance of LEVs.
At least 7 different vehicles were available for a test drive at any one time and a variety of Australia's LEVs were available to the public to sample from Audi, BMW, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Renault and Toyota.
During the drive, participantswere accompanied by a representative of the presenting car company who was able to furnish further details of the environmental friendliness of the vehicle, and explain the company's approach to reducing emissions and environmental sustainability.
