Since the inaugural World Solar Challenge in 1987 close to 10,000 students have participated in this unique event.

10,000 students of Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Mathematics, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Astro-Physicists, Business Students, Film and Media, Industrial Design and the list goes on.

Participation in the World Solar Challenge creates a lifetime of memories and friendships. It propels study into the practical environment, launching careers and opening doors.

 

It is with pleasure that we announce the establishment of the World Solar Challenge Alumni.

In creating the World Solar Challenge Alumni, our objective is simple - to build a forum for former participants to connect within.

Our vision for the World Solar Challenge Alumni is to encourage former participants to reach out to the next generation of participants, to share experiences, provide coaching via online forums, and inspire challenging thought that pushes boundaries.

Our vision will come to life through webinars, publishing of papers and profiling our members.

All former participants will be welcomed to the Alumni. Your participation can be as active as you wish.

To help us shape the Alumni, your assistance in answering these few questions is valued.

Would you be interested in hosting a networking event in your City bringing together past and present participants in a social or business environment?
If a World Solar Challenge Faculty member was travelling in your Country would you be interested in hosting a function at which they may provide a key-note address?
We would like to publish profiles on former participants showcasing their career path and how participation in the WSC benefited their career. Would you consider submitting a profile piece?
Are you interested in receiving special offers to purchase unique South Australian products, shipped to your home, such as South Australian wine and food?
