How many times has your team participated in the event?

Eight times

What is the design philosophy behind your solar car?

Together with a minimal weight, we try to have as less aerodynamic drag as possible. With the change in regulations for the BWSC 2017 we were pushed to think outside the box and develop Nuna9!

What is unique about your solar car?

For this edition we will come with a new design. We have reduced the aerodynamic drag, by taking away the overhanging nose.

Why does your team value participating in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge?

Students of the TU Delft are always stimulated to make the impossible possible. The Bridgestone World Solar Challenge is an unique opportunity for students to become a better engineer. With our successes in previous years, every year is harder to get a great result. This means our students have to become more innovative every year!

What is the one thing your team is looking forward to when you visit Australia?

We are looking forward to meet all our colleagues from other countries and universities with the same mindset!
