How many times has your team participated in the event?

Halmstad University Solar Team are excited to participate in the BWSC for the first time.

What is the design philosophy behind your solar car?

We have designed our car to mimic the aerodynamic properties of a bullet, whilst keeping the construction smart, strong and light.

What is unique about your solar car?

In order to make our car as lightweight, durable and competitive as possible, we have enhanced our carbonfibre body construction even further with an aerospace quality core material. This allowed us to design a solar car that is as light as possible, without sacrificing strength and most importantly; ensuring the safety of our drivers.

Why does your team value participating in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge?

By participating in the BWSC we are able to influence and inspire others to understand that solar is an effective and viable source of energy. We want to be involved with developing the technologies and innovations that bring us closer to a more sustainable world.

What is the one thing your team is looking forward to when you visit Australia?

We're incredibly excited to talk to all the other teams about their experience with the challenge and learn more about their cars, technology and innovations. Also, Kangaroos.
