Bridgestone has renewed its sponsorship of the world’s biggest solar car challenge.

The Bridgestone World Solar Challenge from Darwin to Adelaide will be held in October this year, and has already attracted 28 registered competitors.

Tourism Minister Leon Bignell welcomed Bridgestone’s return as the event’s major sponsor, and said the 3000 kilometre challenge would bring together some of the world’s most innovative thinkers.
